I love spending time with my hubby.  It seems like we don’t get a lot of time to spend alone these days. but this weekend BJ spent the night with my MIL and we got a night out on the town.  It was relaxing and a great way to reconnect.  I missed my little man but every once in a while mommy and daddy need to get out and relax. This is a picture from a long time ago at a wedding that we really enjoyed attending.

My son loves his frogs.  He has a frog lovey that he sleeps with and cuddles with every night.  He also loves this frog hooded towel.  Isn’t he the most adorable little 11 month old (today) you have ever seen!

I recently replaced two of my lamps light bulbs with the Sylvania Halogens to review the product.  The new light bulbs are a bit smaller but fit right into the old light bulbs spot.  The new bulbs were slightly dimmer (and by slight I mean I had to really stare at the lightbulbs which I don’t recommend doing to your eyes).  However, it was so small of a change that I doubt anyone would notice.  I have tried compact fluorescent light bulbs in the past but I don’t like the look of them in my ceiling fan lights where they are exposed. It looks weird.  I really like that these energy-saving bulbs look just like the regular light bulbs.  I will use these instead in my ceiling fans or wherever light bulb are actually visible in my house.  It is the best of both worlds, I get the look I want and the earth gets the energy savings that it desperately needs!

I absolutely love BJ’s nursery.  I loved creating the room with BJ in my tummy and waiting for him to come out and sleep in it.  I loved shopping for every little detail in the room and making it just perfect.  I never realized how much I would love rocking my little guy to sleep in the glider.  I love putting BJ to bed.  We get his bottle and rock until he finishes and he falls asleep.  I have read all the “experts” opinions on how you shouldn’t rock your child to sleep, but I don’t care.  I love this quiet time between my son and I and I don’t want to give it up.  My Monday Moment of the week is that time that BJ and I spend together rocking at night.

We recently tried out the Zoom Jogging Stroller from Joovy with much success.  After a quick alteration (more about that later) we were off and running.  The Zoom 360 has 3-inch shock absorbing suspension that creates an impressively smooth ride for your child.  Even when I went “off roading” I found that this stroller was just as easy to handle in the grass and dirt.  If you are looking for a stroller that can move in different tundra’s, the Zoom is the stroller for you!

The first outing with the Zoom was attended by all family members, including our dog Eli.  My husband was able to jog with the baby and the dog.  Here are the pictures to prove it:

This is a necessity for our family.  During the summers when I am off work, I love to take walks.  I was getting discouraged thinking about how I would maneuver my currently stroller and handle our very large dog at the same time.  Now I know that with this stroller, and the ability to lock the front wheel, I will be able to do this on my own.

The stroller features an extra wide seat that includes mesh pockets that easily allows your child to bring his gear with him when you are on long runs or out at the park.  The harness is a 5-point harness that I am getting used to using as a parent and is getting easier and easier to figure out with each new baby gear product.  I love that this stroller is insuring that my little guy won’t fall out.  Another feature that I love on this stroller is the huge canopy.  There is a peek-a-boo window that can be covered if needed and a huge sun visor that ensures that your child will be protected from the sun’s harmful rays.

Folding the stroller is easy to do once you figure it out.  You pull a cord and it seems as if the stroller folds in half easily fitting into the back of our small SUV.  Here are more of the Joovy Zoom specs :

As stated before  we did need perform an alteration on the stroller.  After jogging with the stroller the front wheel became wobbly.  I emailed the company about the situation and immediately got a response.  They showed us how to tighten the front wheel to get it ready for our runs.  The factory settings on the stroller are for “average” runners or walkers so if you are going to be doing a lot of running with the stroller you will need to tighten the wheel as well.  I am glad that we were able to do the adjustment ourselves, and the customer service was very efficient.

Overall, we are enjoying our family walks.  When the weather gets even warmer we will be enjoying this stroller more and more. This product is helping my new year’s resolution and allowing me to  hang with my family at the same time. The Joovy Zoom is stylish and durable.
